He said, “My humble request is, please help me buy land… I want to return to my native place, do something for Uttarakhand, and contribute to its development. I want to be back among my hill people. Please look into this matter; it’s been three years.”

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the matter raised by Pant has been forwarded to the relevant authorities. The officials will contact Pant soon. Dhami said, “Instructions are being issued to the relevant officials regarding the matter you have raised. They will contact you soon and ensure all possible cooperation as per the rules.”

Rishabh Pant had also clarified in his original appeal that he was not seeking free land from the government. He stated that he wanted to purchase the land from the government and would pay the applicable government rate.

Pant wrote, “It would be nice to receive a gift for representing my state at the international level, but if you permit, I would like to buy it from the government at their prescribed rates.”
