Deepke, along with CJP leaders Ashutosh Ranka and Saurav Das, was taken into preventive custody at the Delhi airport on Saturday ahead of the proposed protest at Jantar Mantar. He was released on Sunday on the condition that he would not disturb the peace for a year. CJP and opposition parties are demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter lists.
