Delhi: There is a good news for the fans of the Indian cricket team, because India is going to host another big ICC tournament next year. The Women's Champions Trophy 2027, to be held for the first time, will be organized in India from 14 to 28 February. Mumbai and Vadodara will host the matches of this historic tournament.
Pakistan women's cricket team will not participate in this tournament. In such a situation, there will be no need to find a different venue or adopt a hybrid model for the match between India and Pakistan. India will organize all the matches of this entire tournament on its own soil.

The tournament will be played in T20 format
The first Women's Champions Trophy will be played in T20 International format. A total of six teams will participate in it (India, Australia, England, New Zealand, South Africa and Sri Lanka) and all the teams will play against each other in round-robin format. The two teams that top the points table after the conclusion of the league stage will face each other in the final on February 28. A total of 16 matches will be played in the tournament.
Why will Pakistan team not participate?
The reason for Pakistan's stay out of the tournament is quite simple. This is a tournament of only six teams and the basis of qualification for it was ICC Women's T20I Rankings.

The five teams that topped the ICC Women's T20I Rankings on 6 July got a place in the tournament along with hosts Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka was originally the host of this competition. At that time Pakistan team was at eighth place in the ranking. This was the reason why she could not qualify for the first Women's Champions Trophy.
