In connection with the death of farmer Mukesh Rawat in Pisangan, Ajmer, the police have detained three people including his wife and mines businessman lover. It is alleged that an attempt was made to show the murder as suicide. Investigation of the matter is ongoing.
Ajmer: A sensational murder case has come to light in Pisangan area of Ajmer district of Rajasthan. According to the police, three people including his wife Vimala Devi and her alleged lover mines businessman Gopal Singh have been detained in connection with the death of farmer Mukesh Rawat (33). Family members allege that the wife along with her lover murdered the husband and tried to make the incident look like suicide. Police are investigating the matter and further action will be taken based on the post mortem report.
Farmer’s body was found in suspicious condition in the house
According to Pisangan police station in-charge Parul Yadav, Mukesh Rawat was found dead in his house on Thursday morning. The family had received information that he had eaten something at around 10 pm and his health had deteriorated. When the family reached the spot, Mukesh was in an unconscious state. He was immediately taken to the local hospital, where the doctors considered the case suspicious and referred him to Jawaharlal Nehru Hospital in Ajmer. On reaching the hospital, doctors declared him dead. Initially the family was suspicious of the cause of death and demanded an impartial investigation by the police.
Family made serious allegations against wife and lover
The deceased’s uncle Ram Avtar alleged that Mukesh’s wife Vimala Devi and mines businessman Gopal Singh were in a relationship for the last two years. Family members claim that Mukesh was aware of this relationship and due to this there were frequent disputes between husband and wife. According to the family, Gopal Singh had earlier also threatened to kill Mukesh. The family members alleged that a few days ago, Mukesh had seen his wife and Gopal in a suspicious condition, after which the dispute increased in the house.
Police investigation strengthened the suspicion of murder
According to police sources, the initial investigation revealed many facts which made the case appear to be murder rather than suicide. During the investigation, the police suspected that an attempt was made to make Mukesh’s death appear as a suicide. According to the police, red colored medicine was found spread around the dead body, which further deepened the suspicion. When the police strictly interrogated the accused, the wife allegedly gave information related to the murder. However, the police have said that the entire matter will be officially confirmed after the completion of the investigation.
Investigation into the role of other people in the murder continues
According to the police, the role of the driver of mines businessman Gopal Singh and another person in this incident is also being investigated. It is alleged that Mukesh was murdered after around 11 pm on Wednesday night. After this, an attempt was made to create a different story to prove the incident as suicide. The police is now busy connecting the links of the entire murder conspiracy, the people involved in it and the events.
Mukesh and Vimala got married in 2010.
According to family members, Mukesh Rawat and Vimala Devi were married in the year 2010. Both have five children, which include three daughters and two sons. The family says that the children were locked in a room of the house at the time of the incident. The family members alleged that the murder was done in a pre-planned manner. Mukesh used to do share farming in the village and support his family.
Post mortem report will clarify the cause of death
Police say that the actual cause of death will be confirmed after the post mortem report comes. At present, the police is investigating keeping in mind murder, poisoning and other possibilities. Along with interrogating the accused, the evidence found from the spot is also being investigated.
The family placed demands before the administration
Mukesh’s family protested at Ajmer Hospital and put forth several demands. The main demand of the family is that all the accused involved in the murder should be arrested and strict action should be taken against the culprits. The family has also demanded that the property of the accused mines businessman should be investigated and action should be taken against illegal wealth. Apart from this, he has raised the demand for financial assistance and property protection to secure the future of Mukesh’s five children.
Outrage over incident in rural area
After this incident, resentment is being seen among the people in Pisangan area. The villagers have demanded a fair investigation into the case and strict action against the culprits. Police say that the investigation is being done keeping all the aspects in mind and further action will be taken on the basis of evidence.
