Top leaders of many parties included in NDA are camping in Delhi these days and are in constant touch with the central leadership of BJP. According to sources, a new formula is being prepared for seat distribution, under which major allies are being considered to be given two to three more seats than last time.
Leaders of parties included in NDA have been active in Delhi for the last few weeks. A round of meetings is going on with Union Ministers and senior officials of the BJP organization. 2022 performance becomes the basis
In the 2022 assembly elections, Apna Dal (Sonelal) had got 17 seats and the party had won 12 seats. Nishad Party had contested elections on 10 seats and won 6 seats. In that election, some candidates of Nishad Party had also contested on the election symbol of BJP. At present, Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party, which is a part of NDA, had contested the elections with the Samajwadi Party alliance and won 6 out of 19 seats. Rashtriya Lok Dal contested 33 seats and won 8 seats. Now both these parties are with BJP and want share according to their political status.
What is the new seat sharing formula?
According to BJP sources, this time the distribution of seats will not be done only on the basis of numbers but keeping in mind the winning ability and social equations. There is discussion that Apna Dal, Nishad Party and Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party may get two to three seats more than the previous share. At the same time, consideration is going on to give respectable numbers to Rashtriya Lok Dal in Western Uttar Pradesh.
Preparing to fight on the lotus symbol
The BJP leadership believes that in many areas the election symbol of lotus increases the candidate’s chances of victory. For this reason, leaders of some allied parties may also be given a proposal to contest elections on BJP’s election symbol. This is expected to help in keeping the alliance’s votes united and ensuring victory on seats.

The 2027 election is being considered as an election for BJP not only to save power but also to keep the social equations strong. Apna Dal is considered important for Kurmi vote bank, Nishad Party for Nishad community, SubhaSP for Rajbhar votes and RLD for Jat voters in Western Uttar Pradesh. BJP wants to give adequate importance to its allies to maintain its hold in these sections.
Whose claim in which area?
The claims of Apna Dal and SubhaSP are considered strong in Purvanchal. Nishad Party can demand more seats in Gorakhpur-Basti Mandal and surrounding areas. Whereas in Western Uttar Pradesh, RLD is trying to increase its share in the areas of its influence. BJP is working on a strategy to accommodate allies in these areas.
The BJP leadership currently seems to be in no mood to upset any ally. Considering the experiences of Lok Sabha elections, the party wants to enter the fray with a strong NDA in 2027. This is the reason why a strategy of showing flexibility in seat distribution and giving political respect to allies is being adopted.
