Maawan Dheeyan Satkar Yojana: On the holy occasion of Rakhar Punniya at Baba Bakala Sahib today, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann expressed his government’s commitment towards women by transferring Rs 5.30 lakh under ‘Mavan-Dhiyan Satkar Yojana’ and Rs 181.50 crore as ‘Samman Rashi’ for three months in the accounts of women. With this the total number of beneficiaries has increased to 70.92 lakh. The government is working on a large scale to bring one crore women under the ambit of this scheme, in which Rs 51 crore has been given as honorarium to 1.38 lakh ‘Satkar Sakhis’ who help in registration and Anganwadi workers will also be given Rs 25 crore.
Punjab again strong on the path of progress
