Will Ferrell & Natalie Portman’s Acclaimed Sci-Fi Movie Joins Hulu Today
Neon‘s highly rated 2025 sci-fi movie starring Will Ferrell and Natalie Portman has finally found a streaming home. Beginning today, the French animated sci-fi fantasy film Arco is available to stream on Hulu. This comes nearly five months after Neon gave the film a wide theatrical release in U.S. theaters.
What do we know about Will Ferrell and Natalie Portman’s Arco movie?
Arco was directed by Ugo Bienvenu in his feature directorial debut. He also co-wrote the screenplay with Félix de Givry. Besides Ferrell and Portman, the English voice cast also included Mark Ruffalo, Andy Samberg, America Ferrera, Flea, Juliano Krue Valdi, Romy Fay, and Wyatt Danieluk. Following its world premiere at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, the film has maintained its Certified Fresh score of 93% on Rotten Tomatoes. It was also nominated for Best Animated Feature at the recent Academy Awards.
“In 2075, a 10-year-old girl, Iris, sees a mysterious boy wearing a rainbow jumpsuit falling from the sky. It’s Arco. He comes from a distant, idyllic future where time travel is possible. Iris takes him in and will do whatever it takes to help him return home,” reads the official synopsis.
Arco was produced by Portman, Bienvenu, Félix de Givry, and Sophie Mas, with Martina Bassenger, Douglas Choi, Jamil Shamasdin, Bill Way, and Elliott Whitton serving as executive producers. The creative team consisted of composer Arnaud Toulon, editor Nathan Jacquard, casting director Elsa Pharaon, lead animator Florian de Chelle, lead animator Alessandro Vergonnier, and more. It was a production of Remembers, MountainA, and Fit Via Vi Film Productions.
