Lucknow. On the auspicious occasion of Independence Day, the 16th Voluntary Blood Donation Camp was organized under the joint aegis of Lucknow Police Mitra Parivar and Ish Welfare Foundation at Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee (Civil) Hospital, Park Road, Hazratganj, Lucknow on 16th August. Lucknow Police Mitra Parivar is a joint group of police department personnel and common blood donors, whose objective is to donate blood to save the lives of needy patients and to create public awareness about blood donation in the society. The group continuously strives to strengthen the spirit of service and humanity among the police and the general public.

More than 100 social workers, youth and conscious citizens participated in the camp, out of which 45 blood donors and blood warriors voluntarily donated blood and pledged to serve the national interest and humanity. 05 blood donors were unable to donate blood due to health reasons. This event took place in an enthusiastic and emotional atmosphere under the patronage of Lucknow Police Mitra Parivar patron and retired IPS Kavindra Pratap Singh and under the guidance of founder and organizer Jitendra Singh. The youth were motivated to save the lives of the needy through blood donation.

The success of the camp included Founder Member Sarita Singh, Jyoti Khare Civil Defence, Founder Member Nutan Verma, Prachar Junction Director Satyam Pandey, Founder Member Prashant Bajpai Civil Defense (ADC) Manoj Verma, Shail Verma, Viresh Singh along with Ashwani Kumar, Ashish Singh, Pawan Singh, Sanjay Singh, Anuj Srivastava, Advocate Richa Mishra, Vice President Nirmal Education Welfare Society, B.K. Sinha, Deepti Sharma, Swapnil Shukla, Sudha Tandon and other colleagues had important contributions.

CMS Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Hospital inaugurated the camp and encouraged the blood donors. He said that today you are donating not just blood, but the hope of someone's life. Blood bank in-charge Dr. Sangeeta Tandon and the blood bank staff were especially helpful. The first blood donor of the camp was Vipin Shukla, the second blood donor was Shivam Singh and the third blood donor was Nutan Verma.
In the said blood donation camp, blood warriors Sarita Singh, Deepti Sharma, Nutan Verma, Swapnil Shukla, Simmi Yadav, Chitrasen Singh, Amresh Kumar, Dhirendra Mishra, Avinash Pandey, Gaurav, Shahu, Ratan Saxena, Gaurav Srivastava, BK Sinha, Veeresh Singh, Neeraj Mishra, Rajendra Kumar, Murali, Awadhesh Rajput, Ankul Kumar, Ashish Kumar, Rajesh Kumar from Civil Defense. Many blood heroes including Rajat Dwivedi, Vishal Chaurasia, Ayush Singh from Barabanki, Anil Kumar Gauri Shankar, Aman Gupta, donated one hand tricolor and one hand blood. There was also a dignified presence of Varsha Foundation founder Arvind Kumar, representatives of various social organizations including Shri Ishta Narayan Charitable and distinguished citizens and media persons in the camp.
