Woman dies due to electric shock, GMCH postmortem conducted

The incident took place in East Kargahiya under Muffasil police station area, where the case of death of a woman due to electric shock in her own house during treatment in GMCH has come to light. Let us tell you that yesterday on Wednesday, May 13, at around 5 pm, a woman who was trying to connect an electric bulb in her own house was seriously injured by electric current. Her family members hurriedly brought her to GMCH Bettiah for treatment, where the woman died during treatment. It is being told that as soon as the woman got electrocuted, her 14 year old daughter Nisha Kumari was also present in the house. Nisha, who had gone to save her mother, also got electrocuted.

The family members somehow saved her from electric shock with sticks and brought both of them to Bettiah GMCH for treatment. Meanwhile, the woman died at around 7:30 pm yesterday evening. Information about the incident was received by the local Muffasil police station, where the police reached the information and took the body in their custody and sent it for post-mortem. On Thursday, May 14, at 10 am, the body was handed over to the relatives after the post-mortem. It is said that the woman has two daughters, younger daughter Roshni and a son Abhay Kumar (7 years) and the deceased woman’s husband works as a laborer by profession. Due to this incident, the family members of the deceased are crying in bad condition. The deceased has been identified as Ranju Devi, 36 years old wife of Raju Shah, resident of East Kargahiya Ward No. 31 of Muffasil police station area.
