WWE NXT Highlights
Tony D’Angelo and Grayson Waller Trade Personal Shots
Tony D’Angelo called out Grayson Waller for a face-to-face conversation ahead of their match at Halloween Havoc. Waller said they had been connected since their early days in NXT, but others had always prevented them from fighting one-on-one. Tony admitted he sometimes wondered whether he would be NXT Champion if they had faced each other alone. Waller revealed he resented Tony for reaching television sooner and admitted that jealousy pushed him to improve. Tony accused Waller of hiding behind jokes because he was afraid. Waller claimed Tony had already lost mentally. Both men promised to take the other into deep waters at Halloween Havoc.
Birth Right vs Wagner Brothers (Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Quarterfinals)
The Wagner Brothers defeated Birth Right to advance to the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic semifinals. Galeno and El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. used their teamwork to control the early action, including an assisted splash and a double-team dropkick. Birth Right fought back, with Charlie Dempsey applying several submission holds to Wagner Jr. After the break, all four wrestlers traded big moves and near-falls. Dempsey and Lexis King attempted a superkick and Dragon suplex combination, but Galeno broke up the pin. Wagner Jr. then hit a Michinoku Driver on King, allowing Galeno to finish him with a frog splash. Afterward, Zilla Fatu attacked Birth Right and hit Dempsey with a Samoan drop.
Tavion Heights and Myles Borne Brawl
Tavion Heights addressed Myles Borne, accusing him of betraying him and celebrating his failure in the #1 contender’s match. Heights said he had expected Borne to crack under pressure and warned that he would become a bigger problem for him. Borne then blindsided Heights, and the two brawled from the ring area into the parking lot as others tried to separate them.
Elsewhere, Vanity Project met with NXT General Manager Robert Stone. After learning that Mini Vikingo was not cleared to compete, Jackson Drake was informed that he would defend his title against EK Prosper next week. Vanity Project were unhappy with the announcement.
Izzi Dame vs Layla Diggs
Izzi Dame defeated Layla Diggs by pinfall with a Busaiku knee after a competitive match. Dame targeted Diggs early, using a headlock and hammerlock to control her. Diggs fought back with an arm drag, a handspring moonsault off the apron, and several strikes after the break. She also connected with a sitout Gourdbuster and frog splash, but Dame kicked out. Both women traded near-falls, including an inverted exploder suplex from Dame. Diggs survived that move, but Dame eventually landed the Busaiku knee for the win. Afterward, Zaria offered Dame a title match at Halloween Havoc, and Izzi accepted.
Creed Brothers (Brutus & Julius Creed) vs Hank and Tank (Hank Walker & Tank Ledger) (Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Quarterfinals)
Hank and Tank defeated the Creed Brothers to advance to the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic semifinals. Julius and Brutus Creed controlled the early action with a lungblower and fallaway slam combination before isolating Tank Ledger with quick tags. After the break, the Creeds continued targeting Tank and prevented him from reaching his partner. However, Hank Walker finally tagged in and changed the momentum with a lariat, Stinger Splash, and Pounce that sent Brutus to the floor. Hank and Tank then worked together to sandwich Brutus outside the ring. Back inside, they hit an assisted powerslam on Julius to secure the victory.
Cruz Montana vs Dion Lennox
Cruz Montana and Dion Lennox fought to a double count-out after their heated match ended outside the ring. Montana started strongly with chops, a senton, and a cannonball before nearly winning with a Liger Bomb. Lennox fought back by driving Cruz into the steel steps and targeting him throughout the match. After the break, both men traded big moves, but neither could secure the victory. Lennox then insulted Montana’s family, leading Cruz to slam him through the LED board as the referee completed the count. Afterward, Montana attacked Lennox on the exposed concrete. Cutler James took a blow meant for Dion, and police handcuffed Montana.
