WWE NXT Revenge Highlights – Borne Retains, King Wins Title, and More
WWE NXT was live from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida as part of week two of NXT Revenge.
Tatum Paxley faced Blake Monroe in a Casket Match with the North American title on the line. DarkState started falling apart as Dion Lennox challenged Myles Borne for the other North American title. Joe Hendry also came face-to-face with Keanu Carver, and Sol Ruca faced Zaria in a Last Woman Standing match.
WWE NXT Revenge Highlights
Dion Lennox vs Myles Borne (c) (North American Championship)
WWE NXT saw Dion Lennox face Myles Borne for the NXT Men’s North American title. Lennox started fast with a spinebuster and stayed in control for most of the match. He slammed Borne into the steps and hit a superplex, but could not finish it. Borne fought back with a powerbomb backbreaker and Ushigoroshi. Near the end, outside interference caused chaos. Borne used it, hit Borne Again, and got the pin to retain his title.
Joe Hendry vs Keanu Carver
WWE NXT had Joe Hendry vs Keanu Carver. Hendry started well with chops, a drop toehold, and early control. Carver slowed him down with corner attacks and a strong backbreaker rack. After the break, Carver hit a German suplex and kept the pressure on. Hendry made a comeback with a discus lariat and fallaway slam. Both traded big moves, but Carver took over again. He landed repeated elbow strikes on the mat, forcing the referee to stop the match.
EK Prosper vs Lexis King (Tournament Finals)
WWE NXT featured EK Prosper vs Lexis King in the WWE Speed Men’s title finals. Prosper started fast with a backslide and dropkick, but King answered with a double stomp and control. Both traded big moves, including a lungblower and belly-to-belly. Prosper hit a big moonsault outside late in the match. In the final moments, outside distractions played a role. Back inside, King caught him and hit The Coronation to win and become the new champion.
Blake Monroe vs Tatum Paxley (c) (North American Championship Casket Match)
WWE NXT had Blake Monroe vs Tatum Paxley in a casket match for the women’s North American title. Paxley started with a wrecking ball dropkick and used weapons like flowers and a dollhouse. Monroe fought back and sent her into the dollhouse. After the break, both crashed into the casket but it did not count. Monroe nearly won, but the lid did not close. In the end, Paxley hit Cemetery Drive and shut Monroe inside to retain.
Lola Vice Confronted by Izzi Dame
WWE NXT saw Lola Vice come out and talk about her title run. She said being champion is about keeping it and warned the division she is ready for any fight. Izzi Dame interrupted with The Culling and said Lola hasn’t proven enough yet. She warned that one mistake will cost her the title. Lola fired back and called it hesitation. Then Niko Vance and Shawn Spears distracted her, letting Dame hit a big boot and stand tall with the title.
Sol Ruca vs Zaria (Last Woman Standing Match)
WWE NXT ended with Sol Ruca vs Zaria in a Last Woman Standing match. It was chaotic with weapons and big spots. Ruca hit a tornillo early, while Zaria used cables and trash cans to stay in control. Later, Zaria hit an F-5 through the announce desk, but Ruca kept getting up. On the balcony, they shared a brief moment, but Zaria turned on her and shoved Ruca off through tables. Ruca could not beat the count, giving Zaria the win.
