New Delhi: From the platform of the 18th BRICS summit being hosted by India in New Delhi, Chinese President Xi Jinping has expressed his serious concern over the ongoing fierce conflict in the Middle East and Gulf region. In this big gathering of international diplomacy, he said in clear words that the fire of war continuously raging in this region has caused very serious harm to the common citizens there. He put forward to the leaders from all over the world that this violence and tension is completely against the common interests of the international community, hence new conflicts in the Middle East must be avoided at any cost. China will host the 19th BRICS in 2027

He announced that China will take over the chairmanship of the BRICS grouping in the year 2027 and will grandly host the 19th BRICS summit. China has long been working on a strategy to establish BRICS as the most vocal voice of the developing countries i.e. 'Global South'.
