Tezzbuzz Desk- Xiaomi has launched Xiaomi 18 Pro series in China. The series includes Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max. Both smartphones have secondary rear display, triple camera setup and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 series chipset.
Xiaomi has launched its new flagship smartphone series Xiaomi 18 Pro in China. Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max models have been introduced under this series. Like the previous models, both the phones have a secondary display on the rear panel. Apart from this, the smartphone has triple rear camera setup and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 series chipset based on 2nm process.
Xiaomi 18 Pro series price
The starting price of Xiaomi 18 Pro in China is CNY 5,999 i.e. around Rs 86,000 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model. The price of 12GB + 512GB variant is CNY 6,999 i.e. around Rs 1 lakh, while the 16GB + 512GB model comes at CNY 7,999 i.e. around Rs 1.14 lakh.
The price of the variant with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage is CNY 8,999 i.e. around Rs 1.29 lakh. Whereas the 16GB + 1TB transparent model has been launched for CNY 9,999 i.e. around Rs 1.43 lakh.
The starting price of Xiaomi 18 Pro Max is CNY 6,999 for the 12GB + 256GB model i.e. around Rs 1 lakh. Its 12GB + 512GB model comes at CNY 7,999 and 16GB + 512GB model at CNY 8,999. The price of the model with 16GB + 1TB storage is CNY 9,999, while the price of the 16GB + 1TB model is said to be CNY 10,999 i.e. around Rs 1.57 lakh. Both smartphones have been introduced in Black, Ice Peach Pink, Starry Blue and White color options.
Rear screen with large AMOLED display
Xiaomi 18 Pro has a 6.4-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display. Its resolution is 1,120 x 2,436 pixels. It has up to 120Hz refresh rate, 300Hz touch sampling rate, up to 4,000 nits peak brightness and DCI-P3 wide color gamut.
Whereas Xiaomi 18 Pro Max has a 6.9-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display, whose resolution is 1,208 x 2,624 pixels. It also has 120Hz refresh rate, 300Hz touch sampling rate and peak brightness of up to 4,000 nits. Privacy display feature is also available in both the phones. This feature reduces the viewing angle of the screen, making it difficult for people nearby to see the phone screen.
AMOLED display will be available at the back also
The specialty of Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max is the secondary rear display provided in them. Xiaomi 18 Pro has a 2.7-inch AMOLED screen, while Xiaomi 18 Pro Max has a 2.9-inch AMOLED display. These rear displays also have the same refresh rate and maximum brightness as the main screen.
Snapdragon chipset and up to 16GB RAM
Xiaomi 18 Pro has Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset. Whereas Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 SoC is available in Pro Max model. Both chipsets are based on 2nm process and their maximum clock speed is 5GHz. The phone has a new Adreno GPU, up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. Both the smartphones come with dual-SIM support and run on Xiaomi's Android 17 based HyperOS 4.
200MP triple cameras
For photography, triple rear camera setup has been provided in Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max. It has a 200MP primary camera with OIS support, whose aperture is f/1.67. It is provided with a 200MP periscope telephoto camera with OIS, whose aperture is f/2.4. The third camera is a 50MP ultrawide sensor, which comes with 102 degree field of view. Video recording can be done up to 8K/30fps from both smartphones. The phone has a 50MP front camera for selfies and video calling.
Claimed 8500mAh battery
A major feature of Xiaomi 18 Pro Max is its 8500mAh battery. The company has introduced it with long battery capacity, which can help in using the phone for a long time. The Xiaomi 18 Pro series targets the premium smartphone segment with large displays, rear secondary screens, high-resolution cameras, and flagship processors.
