Mumbai, October 25: Xiaomi is set to expand its portfolio with the launch of the Redmi Book 2027 Series on October 27. Ahead of the launch, detailed specifications have been revealed, highlighting significant improvements aimed at enhancing everyday usability.
The new Redmi Book 16 2027 series promises a robust build quality and impressive battery life, featuring Intel’s third-generation Core platform (Wildcat Lake) and a 72Wh battery. The laptops will be available in multiple colors and will include a numeric keypad, a feature that users have long requested.
According to Ma Zhiyu, Xiaomi’s Product Marketing Director, the design of the ‘Redmi Book 16 2027’ has been revamped to include this standard feature. The 16-inch version is expected to come with an Intel Core i5 320 processor and user-upgradable DDR5 memory, a notable upgrade from previous models where RAM was soldered.
The 14-inch model is anticipated to feature a 2.8K display, along with the same connectivity options as before, including two USB-A ports, two USB-C ports, HDMI, and a 3.5mm jack. All models will incorporate ‘Super AI 2.0’ for cross-device collaboration and AI-based office features. Additionally, the 16-inch model will boast dual fans and a 10mm heat pipe for improved cooling.
While the exact pricing and specifications of the 2027 series will be disclosed during the launch event, last year’s Redmi Book 14 started at approximately 6,499 yuan (~$970) for the 16GB + 512GB configuration. Enthusiasts will have to wait until October 27 for the official unveiling.
