The craze of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown Ups, which is going to be released in theaters across the world on 26 August 2026, is now reaching its peak in Hyderabad too. Before the release of the film, more than 45,000 fans gathered at the grand pre-release event held at Malla Reddy University Grounds on 22 August. The enthusiasm of Rocking Star Yash and the fans who came to celebrate this most awaited film made the entire atmosphere toxic.
Kiara Advani, Rukmini Vasanth, Huma Qureshi, Akshay Oberoi and Sudev Nair took center stage along with rocking star Yash in this mega evening. One of the most talked about and most awaited theatrical releases of the year, Toxic, the excitement of the entire cast and team was palpable. Producer Venkat K. was among the key members of the film on this special occasion. Narayan and producer Dil Raju were also present.
Toxic ready to reach theaters worldwide
Thousands of fans had come to get a glimpse of Yash and the entire team. Only celebration, excitement and wait for the release of the film was visible all around. Speaking at the event, Yash thanked the Telugu audience and remembered the immense love he has received since KGF. Talking about this special connection created between audiences of different languages, he said, “There are no boundaries, no barriers, no politics. Beyond language, beyond borders, there is humanity, love and honesty.”

Yash further talked about the growing strength of Indian cinema and said, “We are all together, so now we are Indian cinema. And very soon we all have to come together to give Indian cinema its own special identity and a strong place on the global map.” Yash also told the students present at the event to dream big, work hard and take responsibility for their journey.
Kiara Advani, who has a special connection with Hyderabad, recalled the love she received from the Telugu audience. Recalling his first Telugu film Bharat Ane Nenu, he said, “You don't find love like that of a Telugu audience anywhere. So thank you very much! Toxic is not just a Kannada film. It is not just an English film. It is as much a Telugu film as it is a Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi film, because it is an Indian film.”

Kiara also invited the audience to watch the film in theaters on August 26 and said that now the audience will get to see the “soul of our film”. Rukmini Vasanth also thanked the students of Malla Reddy University for their incredible energy and love for the team. Recalling her experience working with the cast and crew, she said, “Rocking Star Yash sir, working with you has been a true joy. It was a real bucket list moment for me.”
Huma Qureshi expressed her gratitude for the overwhelming reception she received in Hyderabad and recalled her journey with the film. Talking about director Geetu Mohandas, she said, “When he first approached me for this part, I had no idea that I was going to be a part of history.”
