Yashvardhan Singh is originally a resident of Kaurara village of Firozabad. However, currently his family is living in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. He is a student of class 12th in Scindia School. Yashvardhan Singh’s cricket journey started from there. He attracted the attention of cricket fans with his performance in the Cooch Behar Trophy played in January this year. Yashvardhan took 57 wickets in 8 matches in this series. He also scored 550 runs at an average of 42.31, which included 1 century and 2 half-centuries. Yashvardhan Singh Chauhan was also chosen Player of the Series for this brilliant performance. Yashvardhan Singh has made a place in the Under-19 team on the basis of his consistent performance.

Actually, in the year 2020, due to Corona lockdown, the business of Yashvardhan’s family came to a standstill. There was a big financial problem in his house. Meanwhile, Yashvardhan demanded a premium cricket bat and was adamant. His family did not have the money to get an expensive bat. In such a situation, Yashvardhan’s father Anami Singh Chauhan took a loan and bought his son a KL Rahul series willow bat worth Rs 65 thousand.

Yashvardhan Singh’s father’s village was successful and now his son has become the India Under-19 captain. Recalling that period, Yashvardhan’s father Anami Singh said, ‘That was the biggest bet of my life on my son’s dream.’ His confidence proved correct. Yashvardhan caught the attention of BCCI selectors by scoring 1,300 runs with the same bat in the 2021 Under-13 Kanamikar Trophy. Now he has got the command of the Indian Under-19 team.
Camp will be held from June 23
India’s Under-19 team is going to tour Sri Lanka, where it will play ODI and multi-day format matches. For this, a special camp of the Indian Under-19 team will start from June 23, where special training will be given to the players. After this, the Indian team will leave for Sri Lanka on June 30. India will play its first ODI match on this tour on July 4 in Hambantota.
