New Delhi: Due to Neeraj Chopra's injury, he will not be able to play in the Asian Games and now Yashveer Singh, who won the bronze medal in the Commonwealth Games, has been selected in his place in the team. The Athletics Federation of India on Thursday announced the 77-member Indian track and field team in which long distance athlete Abhishek Pal has been left out of the team as he has received a notice for doping. Tejas Shirase has also not been selected in the team for the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games. He got injured during the Commonwealth Games.

He said, 'We have included Yashveer in the team in place of Neeraj Chopra, who is a Commonwealth Games medal winner. Neeraj Chopra is currently injured. That's why Yashveer has got a place in the team. He further said, 'Long distance athlete Abhishek Pal has been dropped from the team due to his health problems.'
