Yellow alert for rain in Delhi-NCR even today, no major change in temperature for next 7 days
Delhi NCR Weather Today: The weather pattern has changed in Delhi-NCR since Tuesday. Light to moderate rain was recorded in many areas of the capital, which provided relief to the people from the humidity. Improvement in the air quality of the city was also seen after the rain. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert predicting light to moderate rain for Wednesday also. However, there is no possibility of any major change in the maximum temperature for the next seven days.
According to the Meteorological Department, on Tuesday (July 21), the maximum temperature of Delhi was recorded at 31.2 degrees Celsius, which was 3.7 degrees Celsius less than normal. At the same time, the minimum temperature was 25.6 degrees Celsius, which was recorded 1.7 degrees less than normal. During this period, the maximum level of humidity in the air was recorded at 100 percent and the minimum level was recorded at 81 percent.
Strong winds accompanied by rain in 24 hours
Light to moderate rain occurred in most parts of Delhi during the last 24 hours. The effects of storm, lightning and strong winds were also seen at many places. During this period, the maximum temperature dropped by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature dropped by 1 to 3 degrees Celsius.
In the last 24 hours, the minimum temperature was between 23 to 26 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature was between 29 to 31 degrees Celsius. At the same time, winds were blowing from the south-eastern direction at a speed of 15 to 20 kilometers per hour.
There will be yellow alert throughout the day today
IMD has issued yellow alert in Delhi-NCR for Wednesday (July 22). According to the Meteorological Department, the sky will remain cloudy throughout the day and light to moderate rain may occur in different areas. Today the maximum temperature is expected to be between 31 to 33 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is expected to be between 24 to 26 degrees Celsius.
According to the Meteorological Department, winds can blow at a speed of 20 to 30 kilometers per hour between morning and afternoon. With gusts their speed is likely to reach 40 kilometers per hour. At the same time, there may be light rain once again in some parts of the city during evening or night. The Meteorological Department has appealed to the people to be cautious during the rains. It has been especially advised to avoid those areas where there is a possibility of waterlogging.
