UP Education: Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state government is taking important initiatives towards identifying, encouraging and respecting the talent of children of council schools. Yogi government’s emphasis is that whether it is a child who excels in studies, comes to school regularly, shows his talent in the sports field or is ahead in cultural and various competitions, every achievement should get a platform and every talent should be encouraged. For this purpose, under the annual action plan and budget of the year 2026-27, prize distribution ceremonies will be organized under the annual festival in 1,31,918 council schools of the state.

Under the annual festival, the award distribution ceremony will be organized between 15 February 2027 to 15 March 2027. Elected representatives of Gram Panchayat, school management committee members, parents and other concerned people will be invited to the function. Instructions have been given to invite teachers to attend the program personally and through invitation cards made by children.
Positive environment will be strengthened
This initiative of Yogi government will encourage children to move forward by recognizing their intelligence, hard work, regularity and multidimensional talent. Honoring the children who achieve achievements in studies, sports, cultural activities and competitions on a public platform will further strengthen the achievement-based positive environment in council schools.
Respect for children based on hard work and talent
At the school level, one boy and one girl from each class who have performed excellently in the previous examination will be rewarded. One boy and one girl student with highest attendance from each class will also be honored. A student who has excelled in various sports, cultural programs and competitions will also be awarded. Apart from this, such parents will be honored whose child has scored the highest marks in the last examination or has attended the school for the maximum number of days. School management committee members who cooperate in school activities and programs will also be honored. To encourage and encourage all the students present at the function, as much toffee, chocolate and creative materials as possible can also be distributed.
Award for children’s use
For distribution of prizes, materials like lunch box, water bottle, drawing notebook, compass and water color, stationery-geometric box, pencil, rubber, cutter and scale along with pens etc. can be purchased. Story books and books based on the biographies of great men can also be given as prizes. Shawls, mementos and locally available green plants can also be given as felicitation material to the parents.
Monitoring will be done from school level to state level
For effective organization of the award distribution program, monitoring arrangements have been made at various levels. The program will be monitored by DIET, District Education and Training Institute in a total of four schools of at least two blocks. The program will be monitored by the Assistant Director of Education (Basic) in a total of four schools in at least two districts. The prize distribution program will be monitored by the District Basic Education Officer in a total of four schools of at least two blocks.
The program will be monitored in at least three schools by each SRG and ARG. The prize distribution program will be monitored by the Block Education Officer in at least five schools of the development block and by each ARP in a total of six schools of at least three blocks.
