UP News: Yogi government has taken a new initiative to connect students in Uttar Pradesh with employable skills along with school education. Students studying in Jai Prakash Narayan Sarvodaya Vidyalayas of Social Welfare Department Vocational skill training to more than 3 thousand students Will be given. This training is being started in the financial year 2026-27 under 'Project Praveen'.

Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission has assigned the responsibility for this to 31 training institutions. Minister of State for Vocational Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Kapil Dev Aggarwal said that the objective of this scheme is to connect students with such skills along with studies, which will help them in getting further employment, self-employment and better career opportunities.

According to the interest of the students and the available training, they Apparel, IT-ITES, Management Training will be given in various areas including. Providing practical training at the school level itself will help students develop self-confidence and necessary skills.

Maximum 35 students in one batch

Maximum in one batch to maintain the quality of training 35 students Will be included. Total duration of training up to 300 hours Will happen. Its objective is to provide skill training to the students without affecting their regular studies.

The training institutions will have to submit the contract to the Mission Headquarters as per the prescribed rules. After this the District Program Management Unit will give permission to start the training batch.

Training only in recognized job role

To ensure that students get quality and authentic training, the relevant job roles will be examined before the training begins. for this NCVET and NQR Portal Available information will be used.

Students will be trained only in valid and recognized job roles. This will help in maintaining transparency in the entire process.

Study material will be available in seven days

Necessary study material will have to be provided to the students within seven days of the start of the training. Training institutions will have to upload the receipt and photographs of delivery of material on the mission portal.

Training and assessment will be as per the standards of the respective Sector Skill Council. Mission Director Pulkit Khare has instructed all training providers to follow the timelines and rules.

The government's aim is that 'Project Praveen' should not be limited to just training, but by giving real skills to the students, make them more capable for future employment and career.
