UP News: Under the leadership of Yogi Adityanath, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed in the Uttar Pradesh government to investigate the road accident in Sultanpur in order to take prompt action in matters related to law and order and security. This step has been taken on the instructions of DGP Rajiv Krishna, taking seriously the incident of accident of vehicles following the convoy of Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi during his visit to Sultanpur on October 26.
Considering the seriousness and sensitivity of the incident, the DGP has ordered a detailed investigation into the actual causes, circumstances and possible negligence of the accident. The investigation will also find out whether there were any lapses in the security, escort and traffic arrangements of the convoy.
Three-member SIT headed by IG Kiran S
The Special Investigation (SIT) team formed will be headed by Inspector General of Police, Lucknow Zone, Kiran S. Sultanpur Additional Superintendent of Police Brij Narayan Singh and Deputy Superintendent of Traffic Police Ram Krishna Chaturvedi have been made members of the team. The three officers have been entrusted with the responsibility of investigating all aspects of the incident and preparing a factual report.
The causes and safety arrangements of the accident will be investigated
The SIT will conduct a detailed investigation into the causes of the accident and the circumstances surrounding it. Along with this, the security arrangements, escort management and traffic operations of the vehicles running behind the convoy will also be reviewed. If any negligence or safety related lapse is revealed at any level during the investigation, the facts related to it will be examined.
There will be emphasis on preventing such incidents in future
The DGP has instructed the SIT to thoroughly investigate all aspects of the incident and provide a detailed report as soon as possible. It has also been asked to give necessary suggestions to prevent recurrence of such incidents in future.
