UP News: Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, technology-based initiatives are being expanded in Uttar Pradesh to link skill development with employment and increase the availability of opportunities for the youth. In this sequence, preparations are being made to extend the ‘Blue DotsAI’ platform of Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission (UPSDM) to all the 18 divisions of the state. Through this, locally available jobs and skilled youth will be brought on a common digital platform, so that it becomes easier for the youth to find employment as per their qualifications and the industries can get qualified candidates as per their need.
Under the direction of Mission Director Pulkit Khare, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission and One Step Foundation on Thursday. With this, this initiative operating since June has been formally linked to the mission. This initiative will accelerate efforts to link skill training with the actual demand of industries in the state and make the process of finding employment more accessible.
Youth will benefit from local opportunities
‘Blue DotsAI’ is a digital discovery platform, where information about jobs and candidates available nearby can be obtained through maps. During its pilot project in Ghaziabad, more than 25 thousand jobs within a radius of 20 to 25 kilometers have been made searchable on the map. Now, based on this experience, there is a plan to expand the platform to all the 18 divisions of the state. Through this, youth will be able to get information about the concerned company, number of vacancies, starting salary, overtime and facilities like pick-up and drop. At the same time, companies will also be able to search the profiles of the candidates as per their need. This will help in establishing direct contact between the employment opportunities available at the local level and the trained youth.
Special focus on MSME and manufacturing
Jobs in micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME), manufacturing and retail sectors will be prominently included on the platform. These will include sectors like apparel, food and beverage as well as technical posts like welder, electrician and machine operator. This is expected to help in meeting the human resource needs of local industries and provide opportunities to the youth as per their skills.
Recruitment requirement will be recorded through AI voice bot
The key feature of ‘Blue DotsAI’ is AI based voice bot. Through this, companies and industry associations will be able to register their recruitment requirements by speaking in Hindi, English or other regional languages. This will make the process of making vacancy information available on the digital platform easier. At the same time, AI voice bot will be able to contact the candidates and give them information about available jobs as per their profile. The consent of the candidate will also help in the application process. Along with this, emphasis will also be laid on preparing the youth for employment through arrangements for counselling, mock interviews and direct communication with industry associations.
Youth will get support from technology
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, emphasis is being laid on connecting the youth of the state with skill training, employment-oriented education and opportunities to develop skills as per the needs of the industries. ‘Blue DotsAI’ is a technology-based effort in this direction, through which the aim is to establish better coordination between the capabilities of the trained youth and the needs of the employers. According to Mission Director Pulkit Khare, the goal is that the youth do not have to wander unnecessarily in search of employment and they should have easy access to the opportunities available at the local level. Work will be done to make the job search and recruitment process more effective through facilities like digital maps, AI voice bot and counselling.
