Lucknow. Yogi government's mission employment is progressing at a fast pace to provide more and more employment opportunities to the youth of the state. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has pledged to recruit one lakh government posts in six months. To achieve this goal, the process of filling vacant posts in various departments is being expedited. In this sequence, the process of recruitment to 17,059 posts in the education sector itself is progressing. The recruitment advertisements issued by Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission, Prayagraj in the year 2026 include important posts in the Department of Higher Education, Secondary Education and Basic Education. Through these recruitments, a large number of youth will get the opportunity to join government service, along with this, necessary human resources will also be available to the educational institutions of the state.

Opportunities for 2,047 posts in higher education
According to Commission Chairman Prashant Kumar, 111 posts of Principal and 1,936 posts of Assistant Professor have been advertised in the Higher Education Department. The examination for Assistant Professor posts is proposed on 19 and 20 November 2026. This recruitment will increase the availability of teachers in higher educational institutions and will provide employment opportunities to a large number of youth.
3,504 posts in secondary education
He said that in the Secondary Education Department, there are 897 posts of Assistant Teacher and 2,607 posts of Lecturer (PGT). The examination for Assistant Teacher posts is proposed on 3rd and 4th December 2026, while the examination for Lecturer posts is proposed on 15th and 16th December 2026.

Big recruitment of 11,508 posts in basic education
The Basic Education Department has the largest share in the proposed recruitments in the education sector. Here 11,508 posts of Assistant Teacher Primary Urban (Urban) have been advertised. The examination for these posts is proposed on 3 and 4 December 2026. Apart from this, Special Teacher Eligibility Test (Special TET) is also being conducted in the Basic Education Department.
Education sector plays an important role in the target of one lakh recruitment
If we look at these figures of the Education Department, the 17,059 posts advertised alone are about 17 percent of the target of one lakh government jobs. It is clear from this that the education sector has been given an important place in the employment mission of the Yogi government. Of these, there are 11,508 posts of primary urban assistant teachers alone, 2,607 lecturers, 1,936 assistant teachers, 897 secondary assistant teachers and 111 principal posts. That is, the recruitment process covers various levels from school education to higher education.

The priority of the Yogi government is to fill the vacant posts through a transparent selection process and time-bound recruitment. Due to large scale recruitment in the education sector, on one hand the youth of the state will get government employment, while on the other hand the availability of teachers in schools, secondary educational institutions and higher educational institutions will also increase. These recruitments being done under Mission Rozgar will not only open new opportunities for government jobs for the youth but will also work to strengthen the education system of the state.
