He said that before the year 2017, the education world was struggling with many types of discrepancies, but in the past years, most of the problems of teachers have been resolved by making the system transparent. If any old problem still remains, the government will find a definite solution to it through talks. In this sequence, he said that there should be such a true and vocal representative within the Legislative Council, who can understand the pain of the teachers and present it firmly in the House.

Bumper recruitments and upcoming targets from basic to secondary

While talking about the appointments considered to be the backbone of the education system, Yogi Adityanath strongly attacked the functioning of the previous governments. He told that when his government was formed, the posts of about one lakh sixty thousand teachers in basic and secondary schools were gathering dust. The government selected qualified candidates for these vacant posts in a transparent manner without any discrimination and corruption. Apart from this, the selection process is also being conducted regularly to replace the retiring teachers. The Chief Minister informed that till now, government appointment letters have been handed over to more than nine and a half lakh youth in the state. Sharing further plans, he said that a firm target has been set to complete the recruitment of one lakh more government posts within the coming six months.

Expanding the scope of social security of teachers, the Chief Minister gave detailed details of health schemes. He said in an eloquent manner that all the teachers from Basic Education Council to universities have been linked with cashless health facility of up to Rs 5 lakh. The most special thing about this scheme is that teachers teaching in self-financed educational institutions have also been included in it. A huge insurance cover ranging from Rs 40 lakh to Rs 1.5 crore has been arranged for the teachers of aided schools, so that in case of any untoward situation the teacher's family does not have to face financial crisis.

Government contribution increased in pension scheme

The Chief Minister also clarified the situation on the new pension scheme which has become a topic of discussion among employees and teachers. He said that immediately after taking over the government in the year 2017, a huge budget of Rs 10,000 crore was given to smoothly open the pension accounts of fourteen lakh employees. Considering the welfare of the employees as paramount, the government has increased its share in the new pension scheme from ten percent to fourteen percent. With this big step of the government, the support for the old age of the employees has become stronger.

Opportunities galore in startups and private sector

Discussing industrial development and self-employment in the state, the Chief Minister said that Uttar Pradesh, which was once called a sick state, has today become a center of new ideas. Before the year 2017, only one hundred and twenty startups were working in the entire state, whose number has today increased to beyond twenty four thousand. Today's educated youth is not just a job seeker but is becoming an entrepreneur who provides livelihood to others. He told with figures that sixty-five lakh youth have got employment in the private sector, while more than three crore people are associated with small and big business and self-employment.
