Yogurt is bad! He lost Tk 98000 when he called Blinkit to complain

Be it raw market or grocery items, if you order online now, it will reach your home in just 10 minutes. So many apps have made life so much easier. However, a woman from Bengaluru could not even imagine that such a big loss should be paid through that app! Blinkit lost 98000 rupees while buying yogurt! Surprised to hear! Did you think it could happen?

According to an all-India media report, the Bengaluru housewife recently ordered yogurt on online delivery app Blinkit. When the packet arrives, it is bad. He then reported the matter to the delivery agent. He advised him to contact customer care. What happened next gives a warning message to the common man. According to reports, the woman searched online for customer care numbers on Blinkit and called a number found there. The person who picked up the phone assured him that the cost of the curd would be refunded. Send a link on the woman's WhatsApp explaining how the refund process will be done. It asks to upload a picture of a bad yogurt packet. And he does. Shortly thereafter, another person called him claiming that the refund was being processed. Shortly thereafter, the woman was asked to open the digital payment app and check her account balance.

Allegedly, when the woman typed her password, the app suddenly disappeared from the screen! He then found that Rs 98,000 had been deducted from his bank account. He immediately approached the police after realizing that he had been cheated. Filed a written complaint to the Central Cyber Crime Police in Bangalore. Based on the complaint, the police started investigating the incident. A new case was filed. However, the investigators are asking the general public to be careful about this.

According to the police, it is necessary to be careful from this incident. Because even a small refund request can expose you to fraud. So it is better to complain directly through the official app or website rather than relying on unverified customer care numbers found through search engines. Police officials also advise to be careful about links sent from unknown numbers on WhatsApp.
