You will get Rs 30 thousand as soon as the third child is born! Chandrababu Naidu’s big announcement

Taking a big step regarding the declining birth rate in the state, Chandrababu Naidu has announced a new population incentive scheme. During a public program organized at Narasannapeta in Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh on Saturday, the Chief Minister said that now in the state, financial assistance of Rs 30 thousand will be given to the family on the birth of the third child and Rs 40 thousand on the birth of the fourth child.

When did the Chief Minister make this announcement?

The Chief Minister made this announcement while addressing the people in the ‘Golden Andhra-Clean Andhra’ program. He said that the government will soon issue detailed guidelines of this scheme and its complete outline will be revealed in the next one month. Naidu asked the people from the stage whether this decision is not right for the future of the state, on which the people present there expressed their support with applause.

Earlier in March 2025, the government had proposed to give Rs 25,000 only on the birth of the second child. At that time, the Chief Minister had said in the Assembly that the falling population rate in the state was becoming a matter of concern. However, later the government changed its proposal and now it has been decided to give incentive amount on the birth of the third and fourth child. State Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav had also confirmed this change.

Chief Minister Naidu believes that the continuously decreasing fertility rate in Andhra Pradesh can create economic and social challenges in the future. He said that to keep the population of any society stable, it is necessary that every woman gives birth to an average of 2.1 children. If this rate goes below this, then in the coming time the working population will start decreasing and the economy will be affected.

What did Naidu say about the child?

Naidu said that nowadays many families are adopting the idea of having only one child. Due to increasing income and modern lifestyle, people consider small families better. In some families, the decision to have a second child is also related to the desire for a son. The Chief Minister expressed the need to change this thinking.

He stressed that children are not a burden on any family, rather they are the biggest strength of the country and society. According to him, the coming generation is the real foundation of the progress and economic development of the state.
