Young man seriously injured after his hand gets stuck in factory machine, two fingers cut off, Tahrir

Thakurdwara. While working in a plastic granule factory in the area, a young man got seriously injured when his hand came into the machine. In the accident, the young man’s two fingers were cut off and his hand was fractured. The aggrieved party has filed a complaint with the Kotwali police, accusing the factory operator of forced work and negligence, demanding action.

Akram son of Nasir Hussain, resident of village Panuwala of Kotwali area, told in the complaint given to Kotwali police that his son used to work as a laborer in the plastic granule manufacturing factory of a person resident of village Rajupur Kala. In the factory, old plastic bags are melted and made into granules. It is alleged that the factory operator used to make the workers put big plastic belts in the machine, due to which there was a possibility of accident. According to the victim, at around 8 am on May 24, his son was refusing to go to work, but he was forcibly taken to the factory under the threat of withholding the outstanding wages. It is alleged that as soon as the work started, the starter of the machine was suddenly turned on, due to which the young man’s left hand got stuck in the machine. In the accident, two of the young man’s fingers were cut off and his hand was badly damaged.

The family members took the injured youth first to Sharifnagar and then to Thakurdwara Government Hospital, from where when his condition became critical, he was referred to Moradabad. Later the youth was admitted to a private hospital in Kashipur, where he is undergoing treatment. The aggrieved party has accused the factory operator of negligence and forcibly carrying out dangerous work and has demanded action.
