Dhanrua (Patna). A major accident took place on Friday during the construction of Durga Puja pandal in Pabheda market of Dhanrua police station area. A 28-year-old youth working in making a pandal died due to electric shock. The deceased has been identified as Baiju Kumar, son of late Naresh Prasad, resident of Jalal Bigha village of Masaurhi police station area. After the incident, there was chaos among the family members of the deceased.
Young man got electrocuted during pandal construction
According to the information received, pandal construction work was going on in Pabheda market for the upcoming Durga Puja. During this time Baiju Kumar suddenly got hit by electric current. There was chaos at the spot after the accident. The young man was immediately taken to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Body sent to PMCH for post mortem
After receiving information about the incident, the local police started necessary action. With the help of police, the body of the deceased was sent to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) for post-mortem. There is mourning in the family of the deceased since the incident.
Possibility of checking safety standards
This accident that happened during the construction of the pandal has raised questions on the safety arrangements related to electricity. Whether safety standards were being followed during the construction work or not is a matter of investigation. The police is investigating the case However, the actual reasons behind the incident are yet to be officially confirmed.
