Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the “NeST Fest-2026” program organized by My Home India at Talkatora Stadium in New Delhi. Chief Minister Dhami greeted all the teachers across the country on the occasion of Teacher's Day and paid respectful tribute to the great educationist and former President Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan on his birth anniversary. The Chief Minister said that amidst the youth energy present in such large numbers, he can see a bright future for India. The youth are not just students, but are representatives of the youth power of the country, who have the courage and ability to realize the biggest dreams.

He said that NeST Fest is not just an ordinary event, but a symbol of the rich culture, glorious traditions of North-East India and the unity and integrity of the country. There are many similarities in the lifestyle, mountainous environment and geographical conditions of North-East and Uttarakhand. The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi never considered the North-East away from the country, but kept it close to his heart and considered it an important growth engine for the country's development. Taking forward the decades old “Look East” policy, effective steps have been taken towards “Act East” and “Fast East”.

He said that after 2014, there has been rapid development in many sectors including roads, bridges, tunnels, waterways, gas grid, mobile connectivity and optical fiber in the Northeast. Projects like the India-Myanmar-Thailand Trilateral Highway have opened new doors for trade and economic activities in the Northeast. Today North East is playing an important role in the development of the country.

The Chief Minister said that the youth of the North-East are at the center of these development efforts. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has considered the youth not only as the future of the country but also as the biggest transformative force of the present. With this thinking, youth are being provided opportunities to move forward through initiatives like Digital India, Skill India, Make in India and Fit India.
He said that unprecedented work has been done in the North-East in the field of education, skills and sports. Projects worth thousands of crores of rupees have come on the ground, new schools and medical colleges have been established and new institutions of higher education and skill development have been developed. With this, the youth of the North-East are getting better opportunities to move forward.

Referring to the National Games organized in Uttarakhand in the year 2025, the Chief Minister said that more than 10 thousand players from across the country participated in it. The torch of National Games has been sent from Uttarakhand to the North-East. He expressed confidence that the National Games to be held in the North-East will also bring new opportunities for the players and youth and players from across the country will get a better experience like in Uttarakhand.
