The 34-year-old’s administration is facing heightened public scrutiny as the people continue to clash over the mayor’s policies and leadership.
City Hall officals have not shared an official statement and addressed the demands of the protestors yet who are flooding the streets.
In addition, over 300 families of the victims of the 9/11 atatcks are demanding Mamdani to be banned from the 25th anniversary memorial at Ground Zero.
On September 11, 2026, the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks will be commemorated on the spot where Twin Towers once stood.
