Kolkata. International Yoga Day is being celebrated all over the world. This is the 12th year of International Yoga Day. On International Yoga Day, PM Narendra Modi participated in the Yoga Day program on Red Road in Kolkata with Governor RN Ravi and CM Shubhendu Adhikari. Before doing yoga, PM Modi made the people present aware about the importance of yoga. PM Modi also expressed his appreciation for the cleanliness measures taken across West Bengal and Kolkata.

PM Modi said that Yoga is not just a physical exercise but an expression of the human soul. He said that yoga should not be limited only to special days. Make it a part of everyday life. This year the theme of Yoga Day has been kept as ‘Healthy Aging’. On this, PM Modi said that increasing age should not mean that a person’s capabilities reduce. Our goal should be to be more flexible at 40 than we were at 20 and to have more energy at 50 than we did at 30. PM Mead said that yoga makes the body flexible and helps in living a stress-free life by keeping the energy level high.

PM Modi said that this is a wonderful initiative to welcome with cleanliness. He said that continuous hard work was done for this initiative. The citizens did their duty. PM Modi said that this first has become an inspiration for all the people of the country. PM Modi said that June 21 is the longest day in some parts of the earth. Now due to International Yoga Day, this day has also become the day of the world’s biggest mass celebration. He said that the entire country from the Himalayas to the Indian Ocean and from the North-East to West Bengal and Saurashtra in the West seems to be alive with the energy of Yoga. Yoga connects and brings everyone together. This is the power of yoga.
