Udayakumar has given a controversial statement regarding actress Trisha Krishna. Addressing his supporters in Thoothukudi, Udayakumar said that Tamil Nadu is waiting for Vijay's favorite Trisha to be made the Deputy Chief Minister. At the same time, there are chances of controversy starting once again in Tamil Nadu over this objectionable comment of AIADMK leader. On the other hand, Trisha's fans are angry at Udayakumar.
Trisha Fans Association is condemning Udayakumar's statement by putting up posters at many places in Madurai. Fans are demanding a public apology from the AIADMK leader. Let us tell you that recently Udhayanidhi Stalin had made a double meaning comment to corner TVK Chief and State CM Joseph Vijay on the issue of Cauvery water dispute. After which slogans of Trisha, Trisha started being raised in his rally. BJP and Congress including TVK had also condemned Udhayanidhi's statement. Convenor of TVK Central District Women's Wing S. Bhairavi had filed a complaint against Udhayanidhi Stalin at Thanjavur East Police Station.
On August 4, Chennai Police reached Udhayanidhi Stalin's house and arrested him and took him away. However, the Madras High Court, while hearing the petition of Udhayanidhi Stalin on the same day, ordered the police to release him after interrogation.
