There is news that the policeman deployed for the security of Sukhbir Singh Badal was also injured due to saber firing by Nihangs. According to Nanded Police, the person who attacked Sukhbir Singh Badal has been detained. Police is finding out why he attacked Sukhbir Singh Badal.

Sukhbir Singh Badal has been attacked before also. On December 4, 2024, a person named Narayan Singh Chauda had opened fire on Sukhbir Badal at Harimandir Sahib (Golden Temple) in Amritsar. At that time Sukhbir Badal had a narrow escape. On the orders of Akal Takht, Sukhbir Singh Badal was doing service work in the Golden Temple at that time. Narayan Singh Chaudhary was caught by the people present at the spot immediately after firing the pistol. Sukhbir Singh Badal's wife Harsimrat Kaur Badal is a Lok Sabha MP. Assembly elections are to be held in Punjab next year. There are full chances of heating up the politics of the state due to the latest incident of attack on Sukhbir Badal. Let us tell you that Sukhbir Badal had met PM Narendra Modi recently. His Shiromani Akali Dal had left NDA against the three agricultural laws. After the meeting of Sukhbir and PM Modi, there is speculation that both the parties may once again contest the Punjab Assembly elections together.
