The flow of Nepal’s Bhotekoshi river has been affected due to a massive landslide on Thursday near Jhimmu Post in Nyalam, China. Nearly half of the river has been blocked due to landslides.
According to Sindhupalchok District Police Office, a massive landslide involving stones and mud occurred in China area in front of Liping of Bhotekoshi Municipality on Thursday. Due to this, the flow of Bhotekoshi river flowing from China towards Nepal has been obstructed.
Police have warned that due to the flow of the river being affected, a sudden flood or other disaster situation may arise at any time. Keeping in mind the possible danger, people living on the banks of the river in Bhotekoshi, Bahrbise and Balefi municipality areas have been urged to remain alert and adopt necessary precautions.
