Blast In Jharkhand Cement Factory: Blast in Jharkhand's cement factory, three engineers killed, one seriously injured

New Delhi. A turbine blast took place in Maa Chhinnamastika Cement and Ispat Private Limited factory located in Ramgarh district of Jharkhand. In this accident, three engineers working in the factory died tragically while a laborer was seriously injured. This incident happened late on Friday night. After the blast, the factory caught fire, people started running here and there to save their lives. As soon as the information was received, fire brigade vehicles reached the spot and after a lot of effort the fire was somehow controlled. After this, bodies of three engineers were recovered from there.

The deceased include Ranchi resident factory shift incharge Sanjeev Kumar Kesari (50), Jageshwar Bihar Bokaro resident Vineet Mahato (25) and Garhwa resident Abhishek Pandey (24). All three bodies have been sent for post-mortem. The injured laborer has been admitted to the hospital for treatment. The explosion was so loud that its sound was heard for a long distance. The flames rising from the factory were also visible from a long distance. According to an employee working in the factory, this accident happened due to the mistake and negligence of the factory management.

According to eyewitnesses, the panel overheated due to which the turbine over-speeded. Due to panel overheating, all the safety devices failed and due to this the turbines exploded. Only a month or two ago we had informed the management about the irregularities. The temperature of the control room, which should have been 30 degrees Celsius, increased to 50-60 degrees. There should have been an AC to control the temperature whereas the management had installed a cooler there. The main reason for safety device failure is overheating. At present, the employees are demanding financial assistance to the families of the deceased and arrangements for the treatment of the injured.
