According to the mother of Vinay Gupta, a software engineer living in Lakshmi Park, Nihal Vihar, Vinay was beaten to death by the people of his daughter-in-law Rekha's maternal house. According to the relatives of the deceased, Vinay's mother pleaded to leave her son, but Rekha held her hand and took her out of the room.
Vinay's family members allege that there was a dispute between Vinay Gupta and Rekha on Friday morning. Whose information Rekha gave to father Gyan Chand, brothers Rajkumar and Sonu. It is alleged that Gyan Chand, Rajkumar, Sonu, a brother's wife and two other people reached Vinay's house on Rekha's call. According to Vinay's mother, she was on the ground floor. The attackers reached Vinay's room on the first floor without talking to him. For some time, screams were heard from Vinay's room. On this his mother reached the upstairs room. It is alleged that Rekha's family members were surrounding Vinay and beating him.
Rekha is accused of instigating Vinay to beat her. Vinay tried to come out, but was held by the attackers. According to the allegation, Rekha threw Vinay's mother out of the room. After which he called the neighbours. The attackers fled from the spot after hearing the neighbors coming. They left the car in which they had come at the spot. It is alleged that Vinay Gupta was seriously injured due to beating, but after his death Rekha said that everyone was doing drama. Nothing like that happened. Rekha said that her in-laws were lying to scare her. Vinay Gupta was a software engineer at Adobe in Noida. Rekha and Vinay have twin sons and daughters. Both of them got married about three and a half years ago.
