Special judge Digvijay Singh will now pronounce the verdict on September 3. The Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) of Delhi Government had arrested six people including Satyendar Jain on 18th of this month in the Delhi Jal Board's sewage treatment plant tender scam. Satyendar Jain himself was also present during the court hearing today. He was brought to the court under tight security.

Demanding bail of Satyendra Jain, his N Hariharan and Vivek Jain presented arguments before the court. He said that the FIR in this case was registered in May 2024 and after 27 months, his client Satyendra Jain was arrested. My client was continuously cooperating in the investigation, so there was no need to arrest him. The court can grant him bail with conditions. The defense also said that the decision to increase the capacity of the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) was taken on the basis of the recommendation of the technical committee. Meanwhile, Public Prosecutor Manish Rawat opposed the bail plea of ​​Satyendar Jain and argued that the investigation of the case is in the initial stage and there is evidence against him, hence it would not be appropriate to grant bail.

After hearing the arguments of both the parties, the court reserved its decision on bail. In this case, former Delhi Jal Board CEO and IAS officer Udit Prakash Rai, former Delhi Jal Board contractual consultant Ankit Srivastava, M/s AN Enterprises owner Nagendra Yadav, M/s Euroteck Environment Pvt. Ltd. Raja Kumar Kurra, owner of M/s Srijanhar and Pankaj Verma, proprietor of M/s Srijanhar have also been arrested.
