New Delhi. An incident of gang rape of a 16-year-old minor student has taken place in a moving sleeper bus in Delhi-NCR. The victim studies in class 11. The student had to go to Noida Sector 63 and she boarded the bus from Pari Chowk. There was no other passenger in the bus except the victim. The conductor and driver took turns to rape the student and dropped her on the Ring Road near Kashmere Gate in Delhi and fled from there. After the incident, the victim reached Kashmiri Gate police station. Police identified the bus with the help of CCTV cameras and arrested the accused driver and conductor. This incident reminded us of the Nirbhaya incident that happened many years ago in Delhi.

This incident happened on 4th August. The victim student is a resident of Mainpuri. Angered by her mother's scolding, she left home without informing her for her cousin's house living in a sector in Noida. She accidentally got down at Pari Chowk in Greater Noida. It was raining heavily and dark that day. After some time, when a sleeper bus passed by, the student gave her hand and signaled it to stop and asked whether the bus would go to Sector 63. The conductor lied to him and made him sit on the bus. When the student boarded the bus, she saw that apart from the driver and conductor, she was alone in the bus and there was no passenger in it.

After the bus started from Pari Chowk, the conductor started teasing and raping the student. Then the driver also raped her. The big thing is that the distance from Greater Noida to Kashmiri Gate is about 47 kilometers but due to the thick curtains installed in the bus, no one had any idea of what was happening inside it. Police have arrested both the accused and seized the bus. Evidence is being collected from the bus by the forensic team. Police is investigating the matter.
