New Delhi. Before the Nandigram Assembly by-election of West Bengal, new political developments are emerging one after the other. In the latest case, the police has arrested Congress candidate Milan Pradhan from Nandigram. It is being told that Pradhan has been arrested in an old case related to murder. Milan Pradhan has been arrested at a time when Mamata Banerjee had announced her support for him in the elections. Earlier, Mamata Banerjee's candidate Sanchita Pradhan Dey had withdrawn her nomination. Sanchita De first met CM Subhendu Adhikari and then withdrew from the elections.

At the same time, Congress has raised questions regarding the arrest of its candidate. Congress spokesperson Mita Chakraborty said that today itself former Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee extended her support to Milan Pradhan and within a few hours he was arrested. Milan Pradhan is an honest person who is fighting for the ideology of Congress.
Congress spokesperson accused the government and said that by suppressing the opposition in this way, do you want dictatorship in this country? If they think that they can stop Congress or the opposition through such threats, then it is their misunderstanding. Meanwhile, Mamata Banerjee's party Kunal Ghosh has expressed opposition to the arrest of Congress candidate Milan Pradhan by the Bengal Police and has demanded his immediate release.
