Akhilesh Yadav On Seat Sharing In UP: Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav said clearly on seat sharing in UP, without taking names he gave this advice to Congress

Lucknow. UP assembly elections are going to be held in a few months. Before this, there is a lot of rhetoric going on between Congress and its ally Samajwadi Party on the distribution of assembly seats in UP. Amidst this rhetoric, Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav has clearly expressed his views on seat distribution in UP and has also given advice to Congress without taking names. Akhilesh Yadav has written in the post on X that it is not a big deal as to how many or which seats are going to whom in the alliance. Akhilesh Yadav has written that we all have to ensure that the alliance wins. He wrote in bold letters – It is not about winning the seat. See what else Akhilesh Yadav wrote.

In fact, recently UP Congress in-charge Rajendra Pal Gautam had said that his party should get half of the 403 seats in the UP Assembly. Gautam had also said that under any circumstances Congress will not contest on less than 150 seats. At the same time, Congress has made MP Imran Masood the working president of UP Congress. Imran Masood has also been attacking Samajwadi Party on the issue of seat sharing. After Rajendra Gautam's statement, Samajwadi Party MP SP Singh Patel retaliated. He had said that Congress should see its political status and how many MPs and MLAs it has. The Samajwadi Party MP had also said that even if 50 seats are given to Congress in UP, it will also be more.

Let us tell you that in the year 2022, Congress and Samajwadi Party had fought the UP Assembly elections separately. Congress had won only 2 assembly seats. Whereas, Samajwadi Party had won 111 seats. Then for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Congress formed an alliance with opposition parties. Samajwadi Party became a part of it. Both of them contested the Lok Sabha elections together. Due to which Congress won 6 Lok Sabha seats in UP. Whereas, Samajwadi Party had won 37 seats. Now the way the leaders of both the parties are fighting a war of statements on seat sharing, the latest statement and advice of Akhilesh Yadav is going to be very significant.
