New Delhi. Before Dussehra, Modi government has taken a big decision in the interest of railway employees. The Union Cabinet has approved the proposal to give 78 days performance linked bonus to railway employees. 11 lakh 40 thousand railway employees across the country will benefit from this. The central government will spend Rs 2009 crore to give bonus to employees. Performance Linked Bonus is given to eligible non-gazetted employees. Apart from this, two other important decisions have been taken in the meeting of the Union Cabinet held today in which the disabled people have also been given a gift.

Giving information regarding the decisions taken in the cabinet meeting, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said, today in the cabinet meeting, the first decision was taken to approve performance-linked bonus equal to 78 days' salary for 11,40,770 railway employees. This is a Diwali gift to all those hardworking railway employees who work day and night. While the rest of us celebrate festivals, they are working tirelessly on the tracks, among the people or in workshops. This bonus is for those railway employees only. Recruitment is currently going on on a large scale in Railways. Around 1,65,000 vacancies have been announced and examinations for these are going on.
Disabled people will be included in the pension scheme since birth.
For disabled people, the eligibility limit for disability pension, which was earlier fixed at 80 percent, has now been reduced to half i.e. 40 percent. This means that now people with 40 percent disability will also be eligible for disability pension. Apart from this, earlier disabled pension was available only to people above 18 years of age, but now disabled people will be included in the pension scheme since birth. At the same time, the third big decision is related to the growth of MSMEs and new industries. It has been decided to do strategic restructuring of IDBI. This restructuring of IDBI will further strengthen the development of the country.
