New Delhi. Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh today held a press conference in his parliamentary constituency Lucknow and strongly attacked Congress, Rahul Gandhi and India Alliance. On the opposition's uproar over the Election Commission, CEC and SIR, the Defense Minister said, Rahul Gandhi and his allies have to understand that democracy is not a license to spread anarchy, attack the credibility of constitutional institutions or hinder India's development journey. Efforts are being made to make the youth of the country pawns of the politics of anarchy. These people want to change the regime on the lines of Bangladesh and openly say in the press conference that they have taken inspiration from Bangladesh for regime change. They talk about toppling the government with one blow. This makes it clear that their only agenda is to destroy democratic institutions and set the country on fire.

Rajnath Singh said that the use of words like regime change makes it clear that their fight is not for electoral reforms, their fight is not for SIR, their fight is not for Gyanesh Kumar nor is their fight for the bright future of the youth of the country, but this fight is part of their conspiracy to create anarchy in the country and gain power by any means. Today, Congress, which claims itself to be the political successor of Gandhiji, wants to take revenge from the country for its political defeat by talking about 'regime change' through violence and anarchy. This shows the pinnacle of decline in the moral values of Congress. Based on the fire of violence and anarchy in which Congress wants to throw the country today and the way it is dreaming of creating Bangladesh-like situations in India, I can say that Congress has lost the moral basis of using the name 'Gandhi'.

The Defense Minister further said, India's democratic institutions cannot be sacrificed for political interests. India's development journey cannot be disrupted with the help of false anger, attempts to defame institutions and political opportunism. Rahul Gandhi should introspect on his political role, respecting public opinion, instead of doing 'politics of obstruction' in the name of protecting democracy.
