12 years, 12 questions, Modi government’s ‘Amrit Kaal’ became ‘Disaster Kaal’ for the common people.
On completion of 12 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rule, Bihar Congress President Rajesh Ram has strongly attacked the central government. He has completely rejected BJP’s claims of ‘Amrit Kaal’ and termed it as ‘Vinash Kaal’ for the common people. Congress alleges that in these 12 years, instead of moving forward on the path of development, the country has gone backward on many fronts.
Rajesh Ram said that the government may be beating the drum of its achievements but the ground reality is that the common man is getting crushed in the mill of inflation. Giving an example, he said that the domestic gas cylinder which was available for around Rs 410 in 2014 has now crossed Rs 1100. The uncontrolled prices of petrol and diesel have badly spoiled the budget of the common people. He sarcastically said that by showing the dream of ‘good days’, the government has pushed the people into economic crisis.

Ignoring the youth
Terming the government’s promises as hollow, the Congress President said that the promise of doubling the income of farmers is still only on paper. Farmers are neither getting a fair price for their crops nor are they getting the minimum support price as per the recommendations of the Swaminathan Commission. He also said that today’s youth is struggling with unemployment and small traders are struggling to run their businesses due to economic uncertainty.
Congress has called the decision of demonetization a major failure. According to Rajesh Ram, demonetisation, implemented in the name of eliminating black money and terrorism, has actually caused huge losses to the country’s economy and small businessmen. He alleged that the ill effects of this decision can be clearly seen in the country’s market even today.

Congress’s future strategy
Congress has now prepared to launch a big public relations campaign to take the policies of the Center to the people. According to party sources, Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi will reach Patna in July. There they will organize the youth and launch a new political campaign against the central government. It is clear that in the coming times, allegations and counter-allegations regarding these issues are going to intensify in the politics of Bihar.
