PM Modi’s ‘magic’, PM Modi’s magic, government in 22 states, MLAs three times more!

Narendra Modi’s name was announced as the Prime Ministerial candidate for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in the BJP Parliamentary Board meeting held on 13 September 2013. At that time BJP or NDA had government only in a few selected states of the country. There were many states in the country where BJP’s ground hold was also zero. But, today there is a BJP or NDA coalition government in 22 out of 31 states of the country.
That means in 22 states, BJP or NDA leaders are at the pinnacle of power as CMs. BJP has achieved this achievement after 2014 and the biggest contribution in this is from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

BJP strengthened its political base under the leadership of PM Modi in many such states of the country, which it never even thought about. Apart from the Hindi belt states, Odisha and now West Bengal were the two states where BJP had to work hard to gain power. BJP has gained power in Odisha.

Now BJP has bid farewell to Mamata Banerjee from power in Bengal. This is a state where BJP had to bear the pain of sacrificing the lives of many workers to prepare its political ground.

Now the entire map of India has started looking saffron. The BJP flag is flying everywhere from the far south to the north and from east to west.

BJP and NDA are in power in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, Goa, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Manipur, Bihar, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Sikkim, Meghalaya, Nagaland and Puducherry. The new name of West Bengal has also been added to this.

If we look at the figures before PM Modi took oath as the Prime Minister in 2014, if we look at the figures of BJP MLAs in the states of India till September 2013, it was 773. Whereas on May 4, 2026, when the counting of votes is going on in five states, if we look at them together, it has crossed the number of 1,798.

Let us tell you that the election figures of these 5 states have not been fully declared yet. In such a situation, there may be slight changes in these figures. But, what it means to say is that Prime Minister Narendra Modi not only prepared the way for BJP to come to power at the Center but also established BJP government in many states.

In Andhra Pradesh, where BJP had two assembly seats in 2013, the number of seats will increase to 8 in 2026. Similarly, cases increased from 3 to 46 in Arunachal, 91 to 89 in Bihar, 50 to 54 in Chhattisgarh, 23 to 48 in Delhi, 21 to 27 in Goa, 115 to 161 in Gujarat, 4 to 48 in Haryana, 26 to 25 in Himachal Pradesh, 11 to 29 in Jammu and Kashmir, 18 to 21 in Jharkhand, 40 in Karnataka. 64, 143 to 165 in Madhya Pradesh, 46 to 131 in Maharashtra, 0 to 36 in Manipur, 0 to 2 in Meghalaya, 0 to 2 in Mizoram, 1 to 11 in Nagaland, 6 to 79 in Odisha, 12 to 2 in Punjab, 78 to 118 in Rajasthan, account has not been opened yet in Sikkim. There has been a gain of 7 seats in Telangana, 0 to 32 seats in Tripura, 47 to 257 seats in Uttar Pradesh, 31 to 47 seats in Uttarakhand.

With this, the number has increased from 0 to 3 in Kerala, from 5 to 82 in Assam, from 0 to 3 in Puducherry, from 0 to 2 in Tamil Nadu and from 0 to 199 in West Bengal since 2013. The results of vote counting in these five states have not been fully declared yet. In such a situation, there is a possibility of further change in the numbers.

It has become clear from these figures that while being in the central government, PM Modi also paved the way for BJP in politics in the states and gradually the party accelerated the work of preparing its political ground in all the states and the result of this can be clearly seen in the election results of every state.

This is the reason why in 22 out of 31 states, either NDA or BJP alone is at the top of power along with the Centre. With this, BJP has so far established its rule over 72 percent of the country’s area and 78 percent of the population.
