​​PM Modi received Norway’s highest honor Grand Cross today!

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was honored with Norway’s highest honour. Norway on Monday honored Prime Minister Modi with its highest honour, the Grand Cross of the Royal Norwegian Order of Merit. This is the 32nd international honor received by PM Modi.

Just a day earlier, the Prime Minister of India was awarded the highest honor ‘Royal Order of the Polar Star’ (Commander Grand Cross) in Sweden.

PM Modi held a bilateral meeting with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Storey on Monday. During this period, different MoUs were signed between the two countries in many areas. After this both the leaders gave their addresses.

People of the Indian community in Norway welcomed Prime Minister Modi with full warmth. The Prime Minister expressed his feelings through X Post. He wrote, “The presentation of ‘Rhythms of India’ at the welcome event organized by the Indian community in Oslo today gave a beautiful glimpse of India’s cultural diversity.

From Sattaria to Bharatnatyam, Kuchipudi to Odissi, Kathak to Mohiniyattam, each dance style reflects years of dedication, discipline and excellence. We are proud of our overseas Indians for keeping India’s culture alive and cherished.

PM Modi wrote, “I am proud that our overseas Indian community is keeping India’s cultural heritage alive and strong. Even small girls gave a captivating presentation of classical dance in front of the Prime Minister of India.

PM Modi wrote, during the welcome program in Oslo, a group of Natyalaya dance school presented Alarippu dance related to Bharatanatyam. This group has been working to popularize the cultural traditions of India in Norway for almost three decades. Such efforts are truly commendable.”

To welcome the Prime Minister, a troupe of Indian and foreign artists was seen singing Aarti Om Jai Jagdish. The PM wrote, “Witness ‘Saath Saath’, a beautiful reflection of togetherness through music, culture and shared artistic spirit. Heartfelt gratitude to the team of Barrett Dew Music Institute for presenting a soulful confluence of Indian and Western classical traditions.”

Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Oslo on Monday. Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Storey also welcomed him at the airport. The two leaders discussed trade, investment, green energy and global issues. PM Modi said that the entire world is going to benefit from the agreement signed between India and Norway.
