Read history before giving statement on RSS: VHP!
Actually, Priyank Kharge had written a letter to RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat asking many questions related to the legal status of the organization, registration, sources of funding, income-expenditure and accountability.
Vishwa Hindu Parishad national president Alok Kumar told IANS, “We have asked him in which provision of the Constitution it is written that an organization must be registered to function. There is no such legal requirement.”
Alok Kumar said, “Priyank Kharge was asked under which law registration of such organizations is necessary, but he could not answer. Article 19 (1) (c) of the Constitution gives every Indian the right to form organizations and institutions of his own free will. This right has been given by the Constitution itself.”
Alok Kumar said that we get this right under the Constitution. The Sangh was banned in the year 1948. After this the government asked the Sangh to give a constitution and the RSS did the same. After this the government lifted the ban. We follow our constitution.
The National President of Vishwa Hindu Parishad said that the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had paid tribute in the Lok Sabha on the death of Sarsanghchalak Madhav Sadashivrao Golwalkar ‘Shriguru Ji’. He had described Shri Guru ji as a wonderful personality who stood firm on his ideas.
He said that Priyank should also know that under the Constitution, the Sangh does not take money for work from anyone outside its members. There is Guru Dakshina and that too can only be done by volunteers.
He said that I would say that Priyank Kharge either does not have the knowledge or he is spreading this kind of propaganda maliciously despite knowing the facts.
