‘Will not let anyone’s house be blown up by bombs’, Chief Minister Fadnavis said on Sanjay Raut’s letter!

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday reacted strongly to the letter written by Shiv Sena (UBT) Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut to the Mumbai Police Commissioner. He said that no one will be allowed to blow up houses with bombs or create an atmosphere of fear through threats in the state.

Speaking to reporters, Chief Minister Fadnavis said, “We will not let anyone’s house be blown up by bombs and no one needs to be afraid of such empty threats. If someone is giving threats, the police is fully capable and will give a befitting reply.”

He said that the police is fully alert to maintain law and order and appropriate and strict legal action will be taken in the matter.

In fact, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut has written a letter to Mumbai Police Commissioner Deven Bharti, demanding to register a case under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) against MP Sanjay Dina Patil, who recently joined the Shinde faction, and arrest him.

Raut said in his letter that citizens have the constitutional right to ask questions and register protests to their elected representatives. He alleged that the six MPs who have left the party are facing public opposition across the state and in this sequence, Sanjay Dina Patil has allegedly threatened the protesters.

According to Raut, voters in Mumbai North-East Lok Sabha constituency are taking to the streets to protest against Patil. He alleged that instead of answering the public’s questions, Patil resorted to intimidating them.

Raut claimed that Patil allegedly said, “Don’t mess with me. Get life insurance before you protest against me, because I will take you straight to the graveyard or the hospital. I have killed five people before. If anyone protests against me, I will throw a bomb at him or break into his house and kill him.”

Citing these alleged statements, Raut demanded that a murder case be registered against Patil as he himself had confessed to killing five people.

Apart from this, Raut also demanded a raid on Patil’s house with the help of Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS). He said that a sitting MP threatening to use a bomb is a very serious matter. If bombs are being made in his house then there should be an immediate investigation and he should be arrested under UAPA.

After this dispute, the political conflict between Thackeray and Shinde group workers in Mumbai North-East region has intensified, due to which an atmosphere of tension is being created in the area.
