Those Who Ordered The Firing On Ram Devotees Are The Very Ones Who Turned Every Place Of Worship Into A Site Of Dispute Cm Yogi

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, while making a scathing attack on the Samajwadi Party from Basti, said that the people who opened fire on the Ram devotees were the ones who got the religious places of the state embroiled in controversies. He said that during the SP rule, questions were raised on the existence of Lord Ram, Namaz was offered on the stairs of Hanumangarhi and even those who chanted ‘Jai Shri Ram’ in Ayodhya were lathicharged and shot.

The Chief Minister said that the double engine government has changed the picture of the state by combining faith, security and development. While inaugurating and laying the foundation stone of 77 development projects costing more than Rs 504 crore in Basti, he also targeted the opposition fiercely on the issues of law and order, education, electricity and development.

Addressing the public meeting organized in Basti, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that Samajwadi Party is talking about faith today, whereas its entire political history has been opposing Lord Ram and Sanatan Aastha.

He alleged that these were the people who created the biggest obstacles in the construction of Ram temple, questioned the existence of Lord Ram and opened fire on Ram devotees. The Chief Minister said that it was those who opened fire on Ram devotees who made every religious place controversial.

He alleged that the Karna temple dispute was kept pending for years, Namaz was offered on the steps of the holy Hanumangarhi and even those who chanted ‘Jai Shri Ram’ in Ayodhya were lathicharged and fired upon.

He said that this was not a symbol of faith but of appeasement politics. Yogi Adityanath said that the biggest pain of the opposition is that a grand Ram temple was built in Ayodhya, Maharishi Valmiki International Airport was built and Ayodhya is emerging as a major religious tourism center of the world today. He said that while the BJP government made arrangements for food for the devotees in the name of Mata Shabari, it also gave priority to the preservation of religious and cultural heritage.

The Chief Minister said that so far more than 1,500 temples have been renovated in the state. He said that the state is the same, the people are the same, but as soon as the face of the government changed, the results also changed. Earlier, government resources were used in the name of cemeteries, whereas today the same money is being spent on the conservation and development of cultural and religious heritage.

Referring to Waqf and land grabbing, the Chief Minister alleged that earlier the lands of the poor were taken over and people were uprooted in the name of Waqf.

He claimed that during the Samajwadi Party government in Basti, even its district president was not able to save his land and the encroachment was removed after the intervention of BJP workers. The Chief Minister said that the picture of the state has also changed on the law and order front.

Earlier there used to be riots, daughters remained unsafe and the morale of criminals was high. Today there is fear of law among criminals and safety of women is the top priority of the government.

Attacking the education system, he said that Samajwadi Party had made cheating a part of the system, due to which the future of the youth was in danger. Now, through Chief Minister Model Composite Schools, quality and free education is being provided to children till class 12.

Yogi said that once the state was facing electricity crisis and people in the slums were forced to dry clothes on electric wires. Today, adequate electricity is available in the state and basic facilities have expanded rapidly from village to city.

Referring to the 84 Kosi Parikrama, the Chief Minister said that the Samajwadi Party government used to stop this Parikrama, whereas the double engine government is not only making it happen smoothly, but is also developing the entire Parikrama route from Makhauda Dham to Ayodhya, which will give a new impetus to both religious tourism and the local economy.
