Jaiveer Singh Said Akhilesh Engages In Social Media Politics Whereas Modi Is A Global Leader

Uttar Pradesh Cabinet Minister Jaiveer Singh reacted to several issues including Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav’s recent statements, allegations of Dalit oppression, protests against BJP’s by-election tickets and the popularity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Taking aim at the opposition, he said that BJP is moving ahead with the trust of the public, while the opposition is limited to only rhetoric and social media politics.

On Akhilesh Yadav’s statement that ‘Sanatan is socialism’, Jaiveer Singh said that the Samajwadi Party chief keeps changing the definitions from time to time as per his political needs. Akhilesh Yadav has nothing to do with going to the area and sweating among the public. Instead of participating in the happiness and sorrow of the public, they only try to remain in the news by running social media and posting fabricated stories.

Rejecting Akhilesh Yadav’s allegations of atrocities on Dalits in the BJP government, Jaiveer Singh said that the Samajwadi Party should also remember the record of its rule. He said that during the year 2012 to 2017, maximum incidents of Dalit oppression had taken place in Uttar Pradesh.

Referring to several incidents including Kannauj Medical College, he said that Akhilesh Yadav has either forgotten the incidents of his tenure or is deliberately ignoring them.

On the protests that came after the announcement of candidates by BJP for the by-elections in Bihar and Madhya Pradesh, Jaiveer Singh said that ticket distribution is completely an internal matter of the party. He said that every worker has the right to ask for a ticket and express his views.

The internal democratic structure of BJP respects the sentiments of workers and also reviews decisions when necessary. The public support is with the BJP and the results of the by-elections will also be in favor of the party.

On the protest of the workers after the ticket was cut, he said that it is natural for the supporters to be angry over the change of candidate in any political party and it should be considered a part of the democratic process.

Commenting on Maulana Rashidi’s statement linking girls not getting married on time with incidents of rape, Jaiveer Singh said that this could be his personal experience or opinion.

On speculations about early assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, the Cabinet Minister said that all the administrative and constitutional processes of the government are going on as per schedule. He said that recently it has been decided to extend the tenure of the outgoing Pradhans and District Panchayat Presidents as administrators.

The final decision on when elections will be held is taken by the Election Commission of India. The government and various political parties can give their suggestions, but only the Election Commission has the right to declare the election schedule.

On the advisory issued by the Home Ministry regarding Vande Mataram and Jana Gana Mana, Jaiveer Singh said that every decision of the Central Government is aimed at strengthening the national spirit. He said that it is the moral responsibility of every citizen to love the soil of the country in which he lives, to have an emotional attachment towards the nation and to contribute to the prosperity, security and interests of the country. This is the duty and responsibility of every Indian.

On the increasing popularity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Jaiveer Singh said that today Narendra Modi has established himself as an influential leader not only in India but at the global level. The respect and acceptance that Prime Minister Modi is getting in different countries of the world is a matter of pride for every Indian.

The strategic, economic and trade agreements signed during Prime Minister Modi’s foreign tours are strengthening the resolve of a developed India and giving new strength to India’s global position.

He expressed confidence that in the coming times, India will play a more influential role at the international level and under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country will establish new dimensions of development and global partnership.
