Only 19 percent work done in monsoon session, Rijiju expressed disappointment!

Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju addressed the media after the conclusion of the monsoon session of Parliament. He said that the session can be seen from two perspectives. Kiren Rijiju said, “Today the monsoon session concluded.
We look at it from two perspectives. This session was very successful in terms of work. We passed a total of 12 bills but this session was not that successful in terms of discussion and debate.”

He said, “In the Lok Sabha, only 19 percent productivity was achieved compared to the stipulated time. In the Rajya Sabha, it was 39 percent. Sometimes the opposition parties created ruckus in the Rajya Sabha and even walked out.” Kiren Rijiju said, “Only one bill could be discussed in the Lok Sabha. The bill that came to stop copying. Apart from this, no good discussion took place in the Lok Sabha. We are not happy with the discussion.”

Kiren Rijiju expressed displeasure over the attitude of the opposition in the House. He said, “I have three decades of experience in Parliament. This is the first time I have seen the opposition running away from the discussion. For the first time the government is saying it is ready for discussion but the opposition ran away.” He said that such a sight had never been seen before. “This new thing has been seen which is beyond imagination.”

Taking aim at the Congress, the Union Minister said, “Congress MPs think that their job is only to raise slogans and create ruckus with cards. They wake up early in the morning, reach Parliament and raise slogans.” Kiren Rijiju said that he feels bad for the new Congress MPs. I can understand the pain of Congress MPs. How will we learn if there is no discussion?

The Union Minister expressed hope that the situation will improve in the next session. “I hope there will be discussion when we meet for the winter session,” he said. The government passed a total of 12 bills in the monsoon session, but due to uproar and sloganeering, a meaningful debate could not take place in the House.
